This is what the council spends on ongoing (long-term) care — care homes, nursing homes, help at home, direct payments — split up by the type of care, the person's age group, and the main reason they need support. It matters because the mix reveals strategy: a council spending mostly on care homes runs a very different (and usually more expensive) model than one supporting people in their own homes. High spend in one category versus another says more about approach and local need than about waste on its own.
