It captures whether people actually feel safe where they live — from fire, gas, damp and mould, or building defects. A high percentage means tenants trust the safety of their homes; a low one is a serious warning sign, especially if the landlord's official safety-check figures look fine on paper.

Survey-based: carries a per-landlord margin of error (Estimated_margin_LCRA), and collection-mode effects are large — control for Predominant_method_LCRA and Census_or_Sample_LCRA when comparing landlords. Interpretation per the data dictionary: "Satisfied home is safe".
