Tp10 communal satisfaction

% of respondents satisfied · extracted · landlord-year

This is the share of surveyed tenants living in buildings with shared areas who were satisfied that those communal areas are kept clean and well maintained. Hallways, stairwells, lifts and shared gardens shape daily life for flat dwellers. A high percentage means shared spaces are looked after; a low one means tenants are living with dirty, neglected or unsafe communal areas.

missingnessStock-transfer (LSVT) councils are absent — they own no stock, so absence is structural, not missing data. Only large landlords (1,000+ social homes) report; Files 05/06 list excluded landlords. A landlord's perception figures sit in File 01 (`_LCRA`) *or* File 03 (`_COMB`, for landlords reporting LCRA+LCHO combined) — merge both files for full coverage, else the value appears missing.

Communal areas satisfaction (TP10)

Percentage of tenants living in buildings with communal areas satisfied that those areas are kept clean and well maintained (TP10). Only relevant tenants are asked, so the base varies with stock type (flats vs houses). Survey-based: carries a per-landlord margin of error (Estimated_margin_LCRA), and collection-mode effects are large — control for Predominant_method_LCRA and Census_or_Sample_LCRA when comparing landlords. Interpretation per the data dictionary: "Satisfied communal areas kept clean and well maintained".
